In this week’s story, “From islands to integrated systems,” BE takes a look at how digital content and file-based operations are changing the pace and process by which our media and broadcast giants get work done today, saying, “Underlying everything is resource management of equipment and human resources, as well as the accounts system.”
Well we also see that while islands can no longer exist within a business, the supply chain as a whole is pleading for standards in process and to be more connected. Businesses need to find resources they don’t own, book services to move their content there and now, all in a moment’s notice.
